Project Area: Q-Bridge Main Span Foundations and NB West Approach
Project Scope: Contract B1, located in New Haven, consists of the construction of The Q-Bridge main span bridge foundations and I-95 NB approach structures will be constructed in advance of the new Q-Briedge contract.
The project will also include local road reconstruction of Hamilton Street, East Street and Water Street on the west shore of the Quinnipiac River and Forbes Avenue and Waterfront Street located on the east shore of the Quinnipiac River. Roadway, drainage, as well as traffic signal improvements are planned.

Progress Summary:
Construction Activities for May 2010 included:
- NB West Approach:
- Continue installation of concrete for pier caps, pedestals and wingwalls.
- Continued installation of structural steel.
- Installed new manhole and sanitary sewer pipe at intersection of East and Water Streets.
- Continued installation of stay-in-place (sip) deck forms and reinforcing.
