Scheduled to start 2012 The I-95 Long Wharf Improvements project, located in New Haven, includes the relocation and reconstruction of the I-95 northbound on- and off-ramps at Long Wharf Drive (Interchange 46). The off-ramp will be relocated to the south and touch down at a new signalized intersection at Long Wharf Drive Extension. The on-ramp will also be relocated to the south with the ramp entrance brought closer to Long Wharf Drive Extension. Relocating these ramps will increase the weave distance to the off-ramp to the Route 34 Flyover (Ramp H). The project also includes construction of a fourth operational lane from Interchange 45 through Long Wharf into the new I-95/I-91/Rte. 34 Interchange. Median improvements are also included throughout the area. |
