Contract E1, in support of Contract E, consists of construction
of soil preloading in advance of the roadway and bridge reconstruction
in Contract E. Monitoring of the soil settlement and drainage and
utility relocations required to complete the soil preloading is
included. Contract E1 also includes test piles, pile load tests
and vibration and settlement monitoring at the Cowles Building.
Test and monitoring data will be used in Contract E.
