Specific goals throughout this section of I-95 between Interchange 46 (Sargent Drive in New Haven) and Interchange 54 (Cedar Street in Branford) include:
Enhanced access to and marketing of alternative transportation.
Construction of a new Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge to eliminate existing deficiencies and to meet modern standards.
Operational and safety improvements on I-95 to reduce abnormally high accident rates.
Capacity improvements along this section of I-95 to ease traffic congestion.
