ABOUT THE CORRIDOR
-- Neighborhoods and Towns--
Long Wharf | Downtown New Haven | Wooster Square | Towns of East Haven and Branford | The Annex

Downtown New Haven: New Haven's commercial core is the downtown area. The City has preserved numerous buildings of historic significance, including New Haven City Hall, the Public Library and County and Federal Courthouses. At the center of downtown is the New Haven Green, an attractive public park that provides an expanse of open space in the heavily-congested area. The park is the central feature of the New Haven Green National Historic District. Yale University occupies the northwestern side of downtown.

New Haven PhotoIMPACTS: A new Shore Line East station on State Street between Court and Chapel streets in New Haven was opened to commuters on June 7, 2002.
