Long Wharf | Downtown New Haven | Wooster Square | Towns of East Haven and Branford | The Annex

Wooster Square: The Wooster Square area lies between Olive Street and the railroad tracks east of East Street. While a number of commercial businesses exist in the neighborhood, Wooster Square is predominantly residential with single and multi-family housing units and numerous historic structures. The neighborhood encompasses the Wooster Square National Historic District. Publicly-owned properties in the Wooster Square area include the Wooster Square Park, Paul Russo Memorial Park, the Wooster Memorial Playground and two magnet high schools. Publicly subsidized housing is located between Wooster and Water streets at Brewery Street.

Wooster Square PhotoIMPACTS: The I-95 on-ramp at Wooster Street will be retained. The existing noise barrier will be replaced to further reduce highway noise in the area.
